Our Process

TechLeap India deploys targeted grants to high-performing, locally led organizations delivering measurable improvements in student learning and long-term economic opportunity. We focus on funding proven programs rather than designing or operating our own, and we prioritize partners with strong on-the-ground execution and demonstrated results.

While most grantees are identified through our internal diligence process, we do accept unsolicited expressions of interest from organizations whose work aligns with our focus areas. Eligible programs should show clear evidence that improved education outcomes are translating into durable post-school opportunity for under-resourced students in India.

SUBMIT AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Our Funding Criteria

We have stringent requirements for our grantee partners, some of which include:

• Confirmation of registration as a nonprofit, charitable trust, or not-for-profit entity under applicable Indian law.
• Valid registration under India’s Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), including an operational FCRA-compliant bank account.
• Registration under India’s Income Tax Act, including 12A status (80G status preferred where applicable).
• Financial documentation sufficient to assess organizational health, governance, and responsible grant stewardship (audited statements where available).
• Basic governance and anti-corruption practices to ensure transparency and appropriate use of funds.
• Evidence that the organization has been operational for at least one year and can effectively implement programs.
